The National Sports University will be strategically located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, providing state-of-the-art facilities to enhance the physical, psychological, spiritual, and intellectual development of young sports persons. It will serve as a key institution for the promotion and development of sports in the state.

Objectives of the University:

  1. Professional and Academic Leadership:
    • Provide leadership to other institutions in the field of sports and physical education.
  2. Resource Pool Development:
    • Develop a vast resource pool of highly skilled sports persons at the national and international levels.
  3. Value-Based Education:
    • Use sports to develop knowledge, skills, physical aptitude, social abilities, teamwork, solidarity, tolerance, and fair play in a multicultural framework.
  4. Awareness of Voluntary Activities:
    • Promote awareness of the positive contributions of voluntary activities to non-formal education, especially for young people.
  5. Mobility and Exchanges:
    • Promote the educational value of student mobility and exchanges, particularly in multicultural environments, through sporting and cultural contacts.
